As spring approaches, the buzz of anticipation surrounds the Wright City baseball team, poised on the brink of a transformative season.
With tryouts looming and winter workouts in full swing, the team gears up for a season that promises both challenge and opportunity. The Wright City baseball landscape is undergoing a significant shift. The team bids farewell to Ryan Rattermen, its head coach of five years, along with eight key graduating players, notably impacting the pitching lineup.
Stepping into this new era is former assistant coach Cody Bair, ready to lead as the new head coach.

In the spotlight is junior and starting pitcher Micah Boeckman, a two-year veteran of the program, brimming with enthusiasm for the season ahead.
“I am ready to go, super excited, and feel like I have prepared myself for the upcoming season,” he said, emphasizing his eagerness to contribute to yet another winning season.
Delving into his preparation, Boeckman detailed his rigorous regimen, including weight training, nutritional focus, and honing his baseball skills.
This dedication reflects the team’s overall commitment to excellence.
“I look for selfless baseball players, and very dependable players,” Bair acknowledges what he expects to see in his baseball players.
Crucially, Boeckman expressed confidence in Coach Bair, acknowledging his impactful leadership during the off-season.
“I know Bair is going to do a great job as a coach. He has already shown that in the off-season with his 5 a.m. winter workouts that started back in October,” he affirmed.
