Who Are We?
The Edge is KCI’s student-run newspaper club, focusing on producing up-to-date news on school and local events, including sports, arts and culture, and more. The Edge first came to life during the 2016/2017 school year when former student Arfa Rana wanted to start a school newspaper club. Previous newspaper clubs had existed at KCI beforehand, such as the Spotlight Newspaper which ran in the 1980s. However, The Edge only came to be in the late 2010s. Before digitized copies became the primary method of publishing, articles were left out on tables in the cafeteria for students to read and also became popular MSIP reading material.
The Edge Today
Despite previous challenges The Edge experienced in its early days, today The Edge is thriving, publishing about 50 articles each school year. Article topics range from sports media, news, arts and culture, creative pieces, and more.
Overall, The Edge has brought so much sparkle to the KCI community over the years, and continues to brighten it every single day.
