Entry into School 

Our school starts at 8:30 am, there is a warning bell at 8:25.  Students in 3/4 C will be entering the school using door 7 which is located at the back of the school near the daycare windows.  We will line up closest to the daycare fence.

Bells

Jean Steckle Public School morning bell rings at 8:30 am (warning bell at 8:25).  Our end of the day is at 2:50 pm.  We are a balanced nutrition school which means our 2 lunch breaks are at 10:30-11:10 and 1:10-1:50.  These times include the first 20 minutes inside eating and the second 20 minutes outside playing. Students are encouraged to bring a healthy snack they can eat during class to hold them over until lunch! Students are welcome to eat throughout the day as needed. 

Students will be going outside two times per day.  Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather.  This includes rain boots, coats, hats, mitts, etc. 

Inclement Weather 

The inclement bell will only be rung if there is lightning and heavy rainfall. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather, even if it is raining out. If the bell does ring, early entry is at 8:25 and students will wait in the hallway near our classroom.

Reporting Absences 

If your child will be away from school, please call or email the office to let them know.  This saves valuable time for the office staff.
