Wednesday Season 2: Everything We Know (So Far)

Netflix's hit TV series Wednesday debuted in 2022. It received rave reviews and record-breaking Netflix streams. A dark comedy about the moody Addams Family character Wednesday Addams, this romantic drama is both captivating and fun. For a while, it took the media by storm... until suddenly, the show seemed to disappear. Now, news about its second season has begun to surface. Here's a concise list of everything we know about Wednesday season 2 (so far.)

• Netflix confirmed that the second season will be release in 2025. This means that around 3 years will have passed between seasons when it comes out!

• The show wrapped up production on December 4th, 2024. A couple weeks later, Netflix's second-most popular show, Stranger Things, finished up too.

• This March, Jenna Ortega, who is both the actor of Wednesday Addams and a co-producer on the show, revealed that Wednesday has a long way to go before streaming. They are still in the editing process, and will be working for a while.

• This season of Wednesday is going to be darker. Jenna Ortega says a great deal of the inspiration for the season came from horror movies, and that the cast and crew aren't afraid to take risks this time.

• Pop star Lady Gaga will have a role in this season! After performing a viral cover of the "Wednesday Dance" online, she has joined the cast (for now.) Read McCall Paper's review of Gaga's latest album here.

• Last of all, the show has been confirmed for a third season. We'll see if this show ends on a crazy cliffhanger again!
