At 12:57 p.m., June 3rd, Sabrina Carpenter announced her new record, Short and Sweet! This rising pop star had a slow start to her fame, which was boosted a bit by her 2022 album, Emails I Can't Send. But, her new single Espresso has recently catapulted her to new heights. Now, she has officially declared that she will have her sixth studio album coming out soon. On August 23rd, Short n' Sweet will drop.
Having the album come out so late in the summer is probably very smart. It gives students, such as McCall middle schoolers, a week or two to begin listening on their own. After that, however, they can easily share their opinions and popularize it at school! Of course, since Short n' Sweet is being released later in the year, everybody has to wait longer. That will not be fun!
Carpenter said in her announcing post that this new album is special to her. She also said in a February interview that she learned from her last album to not focus too much on genre. So, she can feel more confident and free with her writing. This new album will probably reflect that feeling in its songs.
Additionally, at the end of her post, Sabrina Carpenter said, "i also have a surprise coming for you on thursday night so keep an eye out!!" (Sabrina Carpenter X). That means that a new single is probably coming out on June 6th! This information is exciting to all fans, of course. The song will hopefully offer a window into what this new album is like.
All in all, pop music listeners all over certainly have quite a bit to look forward to. We can only hope that it can be as well-received as her last album. The world definitely is excited for Short n' Sweet!
