Life as a Princess: Part 2

 Scarlet gasped, she had found a beautiful dress with blue sleeves and a slit on the side. The edge of the skirt had blue sapphires stitched carefully on. She picked out some satin 6 inch heels which were blue with pearls of the same hue on the front. There was a bow tie on the back of the heel made out of matching velvet. Right before Scarlet was gonna put them on her grandmother stopped her. “The maids will put those on you,” said her grandmother. 

Suddenly 5 maids and 2 makeup artists walked in the room, and started dressing Scarlet. Blue glittery eyeshadow was powdered above Scarlet's eyes. Light pink blush was powdered on Scarlet’s cheeks. Someone smeared red lipstick on Scarlet’s dried lips. “How am I supposed to drink tea in this?” Muttered Scarlet. 

“You drink it very carefully,” said her grandmother who was getting her own makeover. Someone put the blue dress on Scarlet. Scarlet carefully stepped into the blue satin heels.

“I-I’m doing it!” Said Scarlet walking around the room in 6 inch heels. Suddenly Scarlet tripped over her dress, and fell onto her bed. 

Queen Diamond laughed, “We need to get going, dearie.”

Scarlet followed her grandmother into the tea room. It was beautiful. With lots of windows, the room had a beautiful view of the mountains and a lake. The afternoon sun cast a golden glow in the room and the tea table had tea, snickerdoodles, other cookies, sugar, and lemon tarts on it. Scarlet carefully sat down and sighed. “These shoes are so uncomfortable,” She moaned.

 “Darling a princess shouldn't do that,” said her grandmother as a maid poured some tea. 

“Thank you,” said Scarlet as she put 3 gigantic scoops of sugar into her tea.

 Scarlet loaded her plate with some cookies and started eating. On the other hand Scarlet’s grandmother carefully put a scoop of sugar in her tea and put one lemon tart and one snicker doodle on the plate. “So, when do my princess lessons start?” asked Scarlet, her voice muffled because of the cookies in her mouth. 

“Tomorrow,” said Grandmother. 

After tea Scarlet walked off into her room and threw off her shoes. Scarlet took off her uncomfortable dress and put on a t-shirt and leggings. She tied her hair in a messy bun and walked into the bathroom to wash off her makeup. Scarlet walked into the bathroom and accidentally pushed a button, a robotic sounding voice started. 

“Hello, what temperature would you want your water to be? Hot, warm, cold, or ice cold?” 

“Warm,” answered Scarlet. 

“Would you like the water to be drinkable?” asked the voice again. 

“Ummm no,” answered Scarlet. 

“ANything else?” Asked the voice again. 

“No,” replied Scarlet, turning on the tap water and washing her face.

 After Scarlet's face was washed Scarlet decided to go eat some food. Before Scarlet could walk out the room she spotted a button which said FOOD on it. Maybe it will get me some food thought Scarlet. Scarlet pushed the button and a high pitched voice started speaking

 “Hello, this is the cook, what would you like to eat?” Asked the voice. 

“Could you get me a hot dog with ketchup and a soda please?” asked Scarlet. “Of course Princess Scarlet,” said the voice.

 A few minutes later a butler walked in and handed Scarlet some food. Scarlet noticed there was a salad on the plate too. “I didn’t order a salad,” said Scarlet.

 “Oh your grandmother insisted that you also have a salad so you are more healthy,” said the butler. Scarlet rolled her eyes and grabbed the plate.

 “Thanks, do I have to give you a tip?” asked Scarlet. 

“Of course not!” Said the butler, as Scarlet walked back into her room and grabbed a 20 dollar bill, and handed it to him. 

The butler smiled kindly at Scarlet “Thank you, your majesty!” He said, as he walked off. Scarlet sighed, and put on some fluffy comfortable shoes and sat down, on a table in her room and took a big bite out of her hot dog. Scarlet opened the mini fridge in the room and took out some ranch and dumped it all in her salad. Scarlet mixed and took a bite into her salad.

“Ewww! This salad is so disgusting!!” Muttered Scarlet as she forced herself to eat it. Scarlet explored her ginormous room after she had finished her food. She opened a drawer and found the new iphone 20 in Scarlet turned it on and dialed her best friend Nikki. NIkki picked up on the first ring.

“Hello? Is Nikki here?” Asked Scarlet, twirling her dark black hair around her manicured finger. 

“Yeah, I'm here.” Said Nikki in a cold and bored voice. “So what do you want?” Asked Nikki.

“Oh! I just wanna talk to my best friend!” replied Scarlet, as she thought “Why Is NIkki acting so cold to me? Is it because I'm a princess now? Is it because she never really liked me?”

“Well, could you do me a favor please bestie?” Asked Nikki. “You need to make me a princess or else we can’t be friends anymore!” Scoffed Nikki.

“Umm, I don’t think that's possible Nikki,” said Scarlet, as she picked at her nails nervously.

“Then we can’t be friends anymore!” Said Nikki. “You’re the most selfish friend ever! And the only reason I became friends with you was for a dare!” Screeched Nikki. Scarlet sighed and hung up the call. 

Suddenly Scarlet heard her grandma come in the room and say “Time to get ready for dinner dearie”

 “Yes Grandmother- I mean Queen Diamond,” Scarlet replied. She went into her walk-in closet to search for something to wear.
