Climate change has been a huge issue to this day whether you realize it or not. Climate change is a long-term shift in temperature and weather patterns due to rising heat. Not only has climate change affected us humans but animals and their environment too.
It may come to be a surprise but global warming/climate change is caused by our human activities. Due to our use of burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. Burning fossil fuels creates greenhouse gas that acts like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun’s heat and raising the earth's temperatures. The main greenhouse gases that are causing climate change include carbon dioxide and methane. These come from using gasoline for driving cars or coal for heating a building. Greenhouse gases are warming the earth faster than at any time in the past two thousand years.
Climate change doesn't just mean our earth's temperature is getting warmer but because of the earth's system, where everything is connected if one area changes, it can influence another. Some consequences of climate change include very intense droughts, water scarcity, severe fires, rising sea levels, flooding, melting polar ice, and huge storms. Climate change can also affect our health. The ability to grow and if you live on small islands, sea level conditions have caused them to relocate.
Climate change is very serious and if there if there is any way to lower the chances of the earth's temperature rising more you should do it. We have to act fast.
