John Lewis Middle School~ Greenhouse

Welcome to the John Lewis Middle School Greenhouse. The Greenhouse serves as the classroom for 7th and 8th grade botany students. Our 7th graders take botany for a semester and the 8th graders take it for an entire year. The course was created to teach students about the scientific study of plants, including plant physiology, structure, genetics, ecology, distribution, classification, and economic importance. Students will not only plan, plant, cultivate, and harvest plants but they will also learn how to cook the plants they have grown as part of nutritious meals.
