For Students
Respect your coaching staff, school staff and all game officials.
Respect yourselves and each other.
Respect school property and WYSA property. Absolutely no speeding at WYSA or Falling Springs and always cleanup after yourselves.
Be on time to every training session or game. Being on time means being 15 minutes early.
Maintain good grades or you will not train or play.
Any unexcused absences will result in a half or a full game suspension depending on the circumstances.
If you have any questions about anything, please speak with an assistant coach first escalating the issue to me.
Show commitment in training and in games.
Wear a polo shirt or dress shirt and khakis to school on game days to call attention to the fact you have a game.
Carry yourselves as model citizens everywhere you go. Remember, you represent your school, and Woodford County as well.
* You will be held accountable for breaking any of the rules above and your punishment will be at the discretion of the coaching staff.
For Parents
I have an open door policy. Please talk to me about any issues before escalating them.
Please allow 24 hours after games before speaking with the coaching staff.
JV parents should refer any issues to the JV coach and Varsity parents, to the head coach only.
I will not entertain any suggestions from any parents about line ups or systems of play.
Playing Time - Players will earn time based on practice and their performances in games. Getting to play is a privilege. Not a right.
Please never talk to me about anybody else’s child but yours. Comparing your child to another child is a no go zone for me.
Be supportive of the program and of your children by being positive role models. This means we will do the best we can to respect game officials and not promote bad behavior from the sidelines. Players tend to be affected negatively by bad sideline behavior, so please let’s do the best we can to stay positive on the sidelines.
On road trips, all players must ride to game venues on the bus. Exceptions can always be made for special circumstances, like a global pandemic or any other significant issues that may occur. After games, parents can sign their kids out. If you give another parent permission to sign your child out, you have to fill out the permission to transport form and turn that in as well. Once you sign your child out, it is no longer my responsibility to ensure they’re actually going home with you.
