Kevin Crossley-Holland (1941 - Current) specialises in traditional stories, having published multiple translations of Beowulf, Norse, Irish and Viking sagas. He is also a poet, having written 9 collections of poetry to date. He has lectured in Anglo-Saxon and Poetry, including teaching as a Fulbright scholar in the midwestern United States. He has campaigned for more translation in children's literature, something he discusses in this delightful talk which also features an anecdote of an attack by a swan that proved pivotal.
