Required attendance:

At Valor Middle School, we have a tradition of performing excellent, professional concerts for our community. All music students are required to attend three evening performances each year (part of the grade).

If you know that you cannot attend a concert, because of a planned family event or appointment, please contact Mr. Rodgers as soon as possible for an excused absence.

Concert clothing:

It is not expected that families spend a lot of money on concert clothing, but it is expected that students will dress in nice clothing in basic black and white colors. For example: white blouse with black skirt, or white polo shirt and black pants. No blue jeans, pants with tears, shorts, or shirts with pictures or words.

2018-2019 Concert schedule:

Musicians arrive at 6:30pm. Performance begins at 7:00pm.

Fall Concert: November 15, 2018, Valor gym

Winter Concert: March 12, 2019, Valor gym

District Music Festival (optional): May 21, 2019, Woodburn HS gym

Spring Concert: June 6, 2019, Valor gym

Other performances:

Molalla Middle School Honor Band: March 14, 8:00am-7:00pm, Molalla HS, for Intermediate and Advanced Band students who are nominated to participate

Corban University Band Festival: April 11, time TBA, for Advanced Band students only
