OUR MISSION:

Woodburn High School Theatre strives to shape and empower scholar-artists who are creative problem solvers and empathetic contributors to their community.

This is accomplished by...

  • Joyously embracing challenges that lead to artistic excellence.

  • Pursuing engaging field trips, conferences, competitions and guest artists that inspire our work and challenge our assumptions.

  • Fostering a safe, nurturing environment where all students are seen, known, and given a voice.

  • Offering student-driven productions and volunteer opportunities that are relevant to the broader life and culture of the school and community.

  • Offering rigorous courses, aligned with the National Theatre Standards, to expand and unleash the unique skills of each scholar-artist.

  • Actively participating in Oregon Thespians in order to connect our work to educational theatre across our state while celebrating the achievements of outstanding scholar-artists.
