About me
I have worked with immigrants and refugees for 30 years, and have traveled around the world, including Europe, southeast Asia, Latin America and West Africa.
I am a native English-speaker, and can speak some French. I can also transliterate Hebrew, but I don't understand most of what I'm reading. I have heard so much Dari and Pashto over the years that I should understand it by now, but I don't.
I grew up in Connecticut and live in New York City with my husband and two teenagers in a messy apartment where we talk about politics a lot.
