Wolfforth Library Summer Reading 2019

Open to children birth-5 years (not starting kindergarten in August 2019).

This program is based on evidence that the more books children (ages 0-5) hear read to them, the more prepared they will be to learn and enjoy reading upon reaching kindergarten.

For every book read to your child, simply mark it off on our log sheet. After 100 books, come back to library to get a small prize and a new sheet!

Open to children starting kindergarten in August 2019.

Play an educational game with your kindergartner this summer!

Kindergartners will do a "daily literacy activity" in order to mark off a box on their game board. After completing 5 activities, come by the library and get a small prize!

Open to children entering 1st-6th grade in August 2019.

1st-6th graders will compete with their grade level to see who can read the most pages. 1st-6th graders must read the book by themselves and in their entirety.

Every time you read a book, come log the book in the librarians log located at the front desk (you'll write down the title and page numbers)

There will also be weekly prizes available as long as you log at least 1 book a week!

Open to teens entering 7th-12th grade in August 2019.

For every book you read, you must fill out a review slip (that must answer one of our questions). *reviews are subject to approval*

The first 10 to complete 10 reviews will win a special prize. We also give prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place based on pages read.

Open to all adults 18 years (and not in high school) and older!

New design this year! Complete a game card to receive prizes and an entry into the raffle drawing.
