When you use verbs to show if you like or dislike doing something, you use the first-person for that. (I hate, I love). The verb that comes after that ends with an -ing
I hate doing the dishes.

It’s nicer to talk formal to your teacher and informal to your friends.

then you use a verb like is/do/did.
After that you form a subject like I/you/he,
then you use another verb with the ing-form.
