World Studies
This course is designed to foster critical thinking around the modern world by investigating how past and current situations have shaped cultures and societies around the globe. This year we will examine 3 countries: China, Congo and Mexico.

Alt. US History and Goverment
This course is designed to thematically explore and investigate American history and government in an authentic way. Some themes include: American Identity, American History through Sports, and Government, among others. This course incorporates flexibility and student choice into the curriculum. Students will make connections between the past, and the quickly changing country we live in today.

Classroom Expectations
Respect everyone around you. This included the teacher, classmates, the classroom and supplies and school rules. Respect is important for fostering a positive and productive classroom community.
Come ready to learn! Show up to class on time with a positive attitude. Also make sure you have the materials (3-ring binder, pencil/pen) you need in class as well.
Cell Phones: Cell phones will be put in the cell phone holder at the beginning of every class.
