The Woburn Public Schools Band Program is a sequential school band program from grades 4-12. It includes Elementary Band Lessons, the WPS Youth Band, the KMS Band, the JMS Band, and the WMHS Band. Students participate in fantastic group performances and learn music skills and teamwork! In the Woburn Public Schools, WE BAND TOGETHER!

We offer lessons on the following instruments. Click on the name of the instrument to learn more!
STEP 2: Get an instrument!
You will NOT automatically be given an instrument when you sign up for Band. If possible, families should provide an instrument for their student to use. We STRONGLY encourage families to RENT AN INSTRUMENT. It may seem cheaper to buy an instrument online, but RENTAL INSTRUMENTS are generally more reliable, easier to play, sound better, have coverage plans if it needs repair, and can easily be exchanged for a different instrument or returned if a student changes their mind. David French Music might be a convenient way for families to rent an instrument because they send a representative to the Woburn schools weekly to drop off and service instruments if needed, but families are free to rent an instrument from any company. Please CONTACT US if you need help getting an instrument or you are worried about the cost of getting an instrument.
