Welcome To P.E.

Here is a compilation of how some of our SRES friends stayed active during this time.

Thank you to those who submitted videos and pictures to share. I know all of our students worked hard and I'm sure you were keeping active. Great job! Thank you! Enjoy a safe and active summer!

Welcome SRES students and families! I trust that you are staying healthy, safe, and active. I truly miss engaging with each of our students in person during our PE classes at SRES! While our PE "classes" look quite different during this time of Distance Learning, I want to encourage our students to stay active! This helps with not only our physical well-being, but also our mental health! Our lessons each week will be posted on the student's PE google classroom. If you haven't already joined, please do. I will be posting weekly "lesson assignments" there. Per the SU, students should spend 15 minutes on the lesson/assignment each week. The way I am structuring them is quite different from our normal, in person, lessons. My goal right now is to help facilitate movement and provide ideas that will get/keep kids moving while at home. There may be some "new" content that we haven't covered in class, but most will be review or fun active games that can be done at home.

For additional activities and ideas to use in your free time, check out the "Active At Home" page (upper right corner menu). That is where I will continue to share resources and ideas I come across. They include games, workouts, fun dance videos, challenges, and simple ideas to keep kids active!

If you and your student have found other fun ways to stay active during this time, please share, so we can share with others. It might be fun to post pictures or videos of our students being active while at home, so our other SRES students can see them and be inspired! Feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or just to say hi! =)

Hello SRES families! First, I trust you are all healthy and safe. This can be a challenging and probably stressful time for all of us. While we do not have the privilege of being together in school, it is important for our students to still stay active. It is not only vital for their physical health, but also their mental well being. Know that I am thinking of you all and miss each one of our amazing students!

Please check out the "Active At Home" page (upper right corner menu). That is where I will be sharing information with you all during this time we are away from our school building. I would like to share some useful websites and resources to help facilitate our students staying active at home.
