Music!

Hello parents/guardians and students! As I’m sure you’ve heard repeatedly, this year will be a little bit different. Below is a bit of an outline on what to expect for music class this year.

Students in 7th and 8th grade will have 2 in person days where we will meet for 40 minutes, and 2 at-home learning days where assignments will be posted on Google Classroom to be done at home. Assignments to be done on at-home days will be posted the day before. For example, students in A cohort will do at-home learning on Thursday and Friday, so their assignments will be posted Tuesday evening. All assignments will be posted in Google Classroom, with an indicator as to whether it is to be done in class or at home.

All Classroom assignments will be due before the next in-person class. For example, for cohort A all at-home assignments will be assigned Thursday and Friday, and will be due by the following Monday (Although I do suggest you do it earlier.)

Students in 5th and 6th grade will meet 4 times a week, and will therefore have no at-home assignments. However, most assignments will still be posted on Classroom.

If there are any questions, concerns, or issues, please do not hesitate to contact me. This can be done through email or comments on Classroom. I will check both frequently, but on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday I am teaching live classes, so may not be able to respond until the afternoon. If additional help is needed, I am also available all day on Wednesdays for email or Classroom questions, or individual or small group Google Meets.
