  • Student must have parent or legal guardian who is a member of Access Energy Cooperative

American Legion Auxiliary First District Merit Award

  • Related to a veteran (son, daughter, grandchild, etc).
  • Three letters of recommendation (One from school and two from community) based on character, Americanism, leadership, and scholarship.
  • Written article stating education goal and why they need assistance (500 words or less).
  • Statement of participation (extra-curriculuar activities and civic activities)

Brian Pearson Memorial Scholarship

  • One male and one female Iowan who have been involved in Iowa Games events (at least once).
  • Applicants character: Citizenship, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, perseverance and sportsmanship are just a few of the values on which this award is based.
  • Applications are due by April 6, 2020.

Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative Scholarship

  • Must be a high school senior and parents/guardians must be members of Eastern Iowa Light & Power Cooperative
  • Must submit completed application form, one letter of recommendation, explanation of career plans, a copy of your transcript, and a photo of yourself.
  • Deadline is March 13, 2020

Grand Lodge of Iowa Masonic Scholarships-Up to $2000 awarded

  • No Need for Masonic connection
  • Student should exhibit great potential to be leaders and of service to our communities
  • Academic record, communications skills and need for financial assistance are considered

Henry County Health Center (HCHC) and Friends of HCHC

  • The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage education and future employment in a healthcare field at HCHC. Applicants must be residents of Henry County, HCHC associates, or a family member of an HCHC associate.
  • Completed applications are due by Monday, November 27, and may be turned into the HCHC Public Information Department, 407 S. White Street, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa 52641.

2020 Henry County Pheasants Forever Scholarship $1,000.00

Iowa School Counselor Association High School Senior Scholarship

  • For 12th grade students attending a high school in Iowa
  • Applicants must submit a 250 word (maximum) essay about a school counselor who made a difference during their K-12 career.

  • The winner will be announced during National School Counseling Week (February 3 - 7, 2020).

Paragon IT Professionals Scholarship - $1000

  • The applicant must be an Iowa resident and high school senior graduating in the 2019-2020 school year.
  • A minimum 3.0 high school grade point average (4.0 scale) is required.
  • The applicant must plan to enroll as a full-time student and pursue a technology-related degree at an Iowa college, university or community college.
  • Provide a high school transcript (can be submitted online).
  • Provide two letters of recommendation (can be submitted online by reference).
  • Write a goal statement (max. 500 words) that best describes the applicants' future career aspirations.

SFM Foundation Scholarship Opportunity

  • Students pursuing programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources.

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Hagan Scholarship Application

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must attend an Eligible Public High School.
  • Must be a student in the 2020 high school graduating class.
  • Must have achieved a high school CGPA of 3.75 or higher.
  • Must have scored 24 or higher on the ACT (Composite Score) or 1,150 on the SAT.
  • Must enroll at an eligible four-year college the first semester following high school graduation.
  • Must work 240 hours in the twelve months prior to the start of college; from August 2019 to August 2020.
  • Must complete the FAFSA in 2019 using 2018 tax return information; the EFC must not exceed $6,500.
  • Must apply for eligible Federal and State grants.
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony.
