Being a Mercy Educator is very special to me. I couldn't be more excited to be on this campus! I attended Merion Mercy for High School, and Mercy Education shaped me into the teacher and person I am now. The solid friendships I made at Merion still hold strong today. Mercy Education is so important to me that both of my children will be lucky enough to attend Waldron Mercy Academy this year!

About The Teacher

My name is Courtney McLaughlin and I am one of the Second Grade teachers at Waldron Mercy Academy. I have taught second grade for 21 years. I went to Merion Mercy Academy for High School and I received my college education at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education (K-6)and Certified in Special Education. I enjoy the beach and spending time with my family. I am very eager to start our adventure into the school year!

Mission For The Class

I look forward to teaching and learning new things throughout the year. Some things to look forward to are; reading different types of literature, and also creating various writing pieces. In Science, we will have a big responsibility learning the importance of recycling and helping the entire school with this task. In Math, it is very important for everyone to know all their addition and subtraction math rules! Lastly, for Social Studies, we will learn the value of our community and your responsibility as a part of the global world.

My #1 goal for this year is for us to have a lot of fun while learning!
