The Skriker has been by far the most work I have put into show to date. Working as Stage Manager and Production Manager, I managed not only the cast of 16, but also the design and production team of 15, and the crew and house management team of 7. This show was truly hands-on, with many of us leaving late technical rehearsals to help with final scenery building and lighting load-in.
This production taught me much about how to manage people of varying personality types and organizational levels and how to best support them and encourage them to meet their deadlines in a friendly and welcoming manner.
On a stage managerial side, this show was the most difficult to tech with over 200 cues called for lights, sound, and video projections. The show ended up being very successful with the space being full for all four performances and one performance even selling out.
