The Greenhouse was written by William & Mary alumni Harvey Stone and gave me the opportunity to work on a newly written show and its World Premiere. The show premiered in Phi Beta Kappa's Lab Theatre, granting the chance to block and stage the show in an Arena setting.
This show featured heavy material, including physical violence and hate crimes. Due to this heavy nature, I worked hard to provide a safe and comforting rehearsal process where actors were still excited to come to work and perform in the show. In doing so, my ASM and I planned events outside of rehearsal such as picnics and frisbee throwing to build cast bonding in a more lighthearted setting.
The show even toured and performed at Virginia Theatre Association and Kennedy Center American Center Theatre Festival Region 4, where I was honored to be a finalist in the Stage Management competition.
