In this unit, students will explore a Hispanic country of their choice by taking on the role of a travel agent. Students will research the country’s culture, traditions, landmarks, attractions, and travel experiences in order to create a persuasive presentation. They will apply their Spanish language skills to present information in depth and encourage others to learn more about the country and its cultural significance.

In this unit, students will participate in a Spanish-language murder mystery activity that allows them to practice communication, comprehension, and critical thinking skills. Students will act out roles, gather clues, ask and answer questions, and analyze information to determine who committed the crime and why. Through this interactive experience, students will apply Spanish vocabulary and grammar in a meaningful context while strengthening their ability to communicate and problem-solve in Spanish.

In this unit, students will learn how to give advice and make recommendations in Spanish for a variety of situations. Students will practice expressing what they want, hope, or wish would happen while developing their understanding of the subjunctive tense. They will apply these language structures to communicate opinions, suggestions, and hopes in meaningful spoken and written contexts.

In this unit, students will research and discuss a famous Hispanic individual while strengthening their ability to communicate in Spanish. Students will describe the person’s background, accomplishments, and significance, and then compare and contrast that individual with someone they know or someone they have learned about in history class. Through this work, students will build cultural understanding while practicing descriptive language, comparisons, and presentational communication in Spanish.
