Spanish 3

In this unit, students will develop their ability to communicate more naturally in Spanish by speaking and writing about activities and experiences they enjoyed in the past. Students will learn and practice the imperfect tense as a way to describe past habits, repeated actions, and ongoing experiences. They will apply this learning through both presentational and interpersonal communication, building confidence as they share information about past activities in Spanish.

In this unit, students will develop the language skills needed to describe their hometown in detail. Students will learn and practice vocabulary related to places in a community, locations, and directions. They will apply this vocabulary to describe where places are located and give directions to others on how to get from one place to another in Spanish.

In this unit, students will explore professions and career interests while building their ability to communicate in Spanish. Students will choose a profession they are interested in learning more about and research the education, training, skills, and steps needed to enter that field. They will then apply their learning by presenting information about the profession in Spanish, using appropriate vocabulary and language structures to describe career pathways and future goals.

In this unit, students will strengthen their Spanish reading skills through the study of a short novel that includes facts and cultural connections related to Peru. Students will build comprehension, expand vocabulary, and make connections between the text and Peruvian culture. Through reading, discussion, and related activities, students will continue developing their ability to interpret and respond to Spanish-language texts.
