In this unit, students will learn and practice Spanish vocabulary related to daily routines, personal hygiene, and time expressions. Students will be introduced to reflexive verbs and practice using them to describe their own daily routines in Spanish. They will also learn about demonstrative adjectives and pronouns as they continue building their ability to describe people, objects, and routines with greater detail. By the end of the unit, students will be able to communicate their daily routine in Spanish through speaking and writing.

They will describe family relationships, personal characteristics, and other information about family members. Students will apply their learning by creating a family tree and presenting information about their family in Spanish.
In this unit, students will learn and practice Spanish vocabulary related to food, food descriptions, meals, and restaurants. Students will explore foods and meal customs in the Spanish-speaking world and compare and contrast them with foods and meal traditions in their own culture. They will also apply their learning by writing a recipe in Spanish, using appropriate vocabulary and language structures to describe ingredients, steps, and food preparation.
In this unit, students will learn and practice Spanish vocabulary related to shopping, clothing, colors, and descriptive adjectives. Students will review the verb gustar and learn additional verbs that function in a similar way to express preferences and opinions. They will also build cultural understanding through videos and readings about shopping, clothing, and markets in Spanish-speaking countries, allowing them to compare cultural practices while strengthening their Spanish communication skills.

Students will explore the significance of these celebrations and compare them to traditions in their own lives and communities.
