In this unit, students will visualize data using dot plots and histograms, before calculating measures of center-mean and median-and measures of variability- mean absolute deviation (MAD), range, and interquartile range (IQR). They will construct box plots and interpret these measures in context, relating the shape and features of a distribution to the most appropriate measures.
