Susan Beatty - susan.beatty@wkec.org

Dr. Beatty has 22 years of education experience, mostly as a high school science teacher.  Her own love of learning and strong interest in supporting the learning of others led her to pursue a doctoral degree in P-20 Education to better qualify her to influence and advise other teachers at all levels.   She loves being a part of the Gear Up grant because she can use her knowledge and experience to focus on constant improvement and success.  She is married, has two stepchildren, and is a committed animal lover with two dogs and a cat.  

Susan Barton - susan.barton@wkec.org

Ms. Barton has 30+ years in education in a variety of roles with students and teachers.  She taught in the classroom for 27 of those years and her absolute favorite was middle school science!  After retiring, Ms. Barton began working with teachers to share with them her valuable skills, wisdom, and expertise in leading a class of students.  She loves the opportunities she has to make a difference in the lives of teachers and students in the Gear Up grant.  She has two sons, one dog and two cats.
