Attention students: We are looking for volunteers to help at the upcoming WOWI event on Wednesday, October 16th, at the West Islip Firehouse. Volunteers will be needed from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Students who volunteer will receive community service credit.

Quick Science Olympiad Meeting after school on Wednesday, October 1st in room 238. Only members that need to pick up or drop off paperwork need to come by. Last call to hand in your event selection cards. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Alvarez.

 

The next FBLA and DECA meeting will be on Wednesday, October 1st in room 106 right after school, we will discuss the club fair. For FBLA we will have our officer interviews. Please bring membership and officer applications to the meeting or drop off to Mrs. Linderman.  For DECA please drop off membership and officer applications to Ms. Perrone. 

Attention all wrestlers - we will have a brief mandatory meeting Wednesday October 1st right after school in room 186.  Plans for pre season, gear orders and season schedule will be discussed.  Please make every effort to attend.  If you cannot make it please see Coach LaGiglia in room 186 before the meeting.

Attention seniors! Homecoming Court applications are now open. Check the Class of 2026 Google Classroom to apply. Applications are due Friday, October 3rd.

 

We are excited to announce our first Safe Halloween event run by the Class of 2028 on Wed 10/29!  To make this event a success we will need your participation!  We will be holding an informational meeting on Friday 10/3 immediately after school in cafeteria A/B for all who would like to participate and also earn community service hours.  This is open to ALL GRADES, not just the Class of 2028. We are looking for students to: dress in costumes, take photos with trick or treaters, run activities in the gym, decorate classroom doors, hand out candy, and general help that evening.  Come to the meeting on Friday and bring your Halloween ideas!

 

The Girls Varsity Field Hockey Team defeated Miller Place yesterday in shootouts with the score of 2-1. Giada Zegarelli scored a goal assisted by Nicolette Laino to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Karah Conzone made 18 saves.

The Lady Lions also defeated Greenport over the weekend. Nicolette Laino had two goals, Mia Zegarelli, Brooke Avella, and Kelly Fallon each had one goal. Giada Zegarelli had one assist.
