Attention writers. Spectrum is looking for submissions. West Islip's literary and art magazine depends upon you for content. Please submit your poems, short stories, diatribes, one-act plays, creative essays and more to members of Spectrum or Mr. Gershfeld. The deadline for all submissions is today April 1. Spectrum looks forward to your work.

 

Attention Seniors:  if you are planning 2 or 4 year degree program in an agriculture or environmental field, or be planning to attend SUNY Cobleskill(any major)  please apply for the Kristian C. Becker Memorial Scholarship.  Application is available in the Counseling Scholarship Newsletter.

Deadline is April 15th.

 

 

 

 

Attentions Seniors!

The Dollars for Scholars Scholarship applications are due on April 13th. Information regarding the scholarship can be found in the Counseling Department's Scholarship Newsletter. All application essays should be put in Mrs. Morana's mailbox in the main office. 

 

Attention Seniors:

The West Islip Beautification Society scholarship application deadline is approaching. If you have volunteered with the society and are pursuing education beyond high school, you are eligible. Deadline is April 15th. Applications are available from the counseling office site.

 


Class of 2027 

Senior Portrait appointments are open will be taking place on April 29th, 30th, and May 1st. We are encouraging all rising seniors to please make an appointment during one of these dates. If you're unable to make one of those days work, we will have two make-up dates in June and just a handful in the fall.

Put in the school's zip code (11795) - select "West Islip High School" in the drop down - select "Book Your Session." This will bring you to a page to enter your legal name that is on file with the school. Once you are verified, you will then select a session and finalize your appointment time.

Baseball announcement: Ben Delanoy was 3 for 4 with a homerun and a double, Brian Brower had a double, and Conor Kenefick had 2 RBIs in the baseball team's 5-2 win over West Babylon yesterday. After Matt Tomasello gave the team a much needed lift with 2 strong innings on the mound to start, Nick Abi-Zeid came on in relief and threw 4 2/3 innings to close it out and earn his first varsity win.
