We will be having an EXECUTIVE meeting for FBLA on Thursday, October 16th right after school in room 106. This is only for officers. If you have your membership forms please drop off to Mrs. Linderman in room 106. 

 

Attention Juniors & Seniors who have already completed Algebra 2: Do you excel in mathematics? Do you love solving math problems and critically thinking about math? Come to the informational meeting about the requirements for joining Mu Alpha Theta, West Islip High School's National Math Honor Society. The meeting for prospective new members will take place Monday, October 20th right after school in the senior bistro. Returning members will meet as well on Monday, October 20th in Room 133. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Nanda or Mrs. Isaksen.

 

Bayview School PTA looking for student volunteers to help at their Trunk or Treat

event Saturday, 10/18 from 4-7 p.m.  They need help with set up and would either be assigned to a station or walk around replenishing candy.  They also would need help with clean up.  Please contact Bayview PTA for details.

 

Attention Cheerleaders & any student interested in joining the cheerleading team: Open varsity choreography will be held on 10/18 and 10/19 from 8:00am until 1:00pm at Westbrook! Hope to see you there. 

 

Attention all Varsity Mathletes! We will be having practice on Monday October 20th at 2:15 in room 231. Please see Mrs. Yost or Mrs. Davis if you have any questions. All are welcome!

 

Attention West Islip High School: Are you wondering what this year's spring musical will be? The Spring musical will be announced on Monday October 20th at 2:30 pm in the High School Auditorium. Anyone interested in being in the cast, pit orchestra, stage crew, or costumes and make up should attend. See you all on Monday October 20th at 2:30! 

 

ASL Club is selling 'Spooked by a Signer' Halloween Grams! For 1$ each, send a message and treats to your best friends and favorite teachers on Halloween. Make sure to know the full name of your friend and their homeroom #, or teacher before purchasing. You can buy one from ASL students and club member's.

 

The Boys Cross Country Team competed at the Manhattan College Invitational this past Saturday. Chase Miller took 21st place in a field of almost 200 runners. He was followed by Landon Mancini, Bruno Basile, Jackson Hunter, Tom Sansone, and Vincent Maffetone. The team takes on Hauppauge today to close out the regular season.
