All visitors to the school – including students from other buildings – must sign in at the security vestibule in the lobby before proceeding to any other area of the building. Upon signing in, visitors will receive a pass; they may be asked to produce photo identification. They must sign out and return the visitor’s pass before leaving the building. Persons on school grounds without permission are subject to disciplinary action, and possible arrest, for criminal trespassing.

Running, pushing, shouting, scuffling, and other forms of disruptive behavior are not permitted at any time. Keep movement flowing, and limit the noise level out of respect for the learning environment.
While classes are in session, pupils are not permitted in the corridors without this agenda, which will serve as a hall pass with the issuing teacher’s signature. Students in the hallways at times other than passing times without a signed agenda (the corridor pass) may be assigned detention.

Students are required to place their backpacks in their lockers before first period and may not remove them from their lockers until the end of the day. Students are not permitted to carry backpacks during the school day. Sidebags and large handbags are included in this regulation.
Lockers
The locker is a safe place where students can put books, notebooks, a coat, lunch and other belongings. At the beginning of every year, each student is given a locker and a combination lock. The combination should not be shared with anyone, including friends. Items of unusual value should not be brought to school, and should not be kept in lockers.
Only school-issued combination locks may be used on school lockers. Students may not bring locks from home; personal locks will be clipped and confiscated. You will be charged a $6.00 replacement fee for a lost lock.
Seventh and eighth grade students may go to their lockers before first period, at the conclusion of period 3, before and after their own lunch periods, and at the end of the school day. Sixth grade students may go to their lockers before first period, at the end of the school day, and at the passing times determined by their homeroom teacher. Students may also use their lockers with the express approval (a pass) of a classroom teacher.

You are expected to complete all homework assignments. Homework may be included in the grade averages for the subject areas. If you are legally absent for one day, call a friend to get the class work and homework you missed.
Cafeteria
The school lunch program is operated as a service so that you may obtain at least one-third of your daily caloric requirements through a well-balanced, nutritious meal. School lunch is available all year. Menus are distributed monthly, and monthly lunch tickets are available in the cafeteria. The cafeteria provides an entire hot meal as well as a sandwich selection. A la carte items are also available, i.e., milk, juice, snacks and fruit. Our online payment collection system, MySchoolBucks, to coincide with the Nutrikids system. This secure online payment service provides a quick and easy way to add money to your student’s meal account and pay fees for other items using a credit/debit card or electronic check. MySchoolBucks allows you to deposit money directly into your child’s school meal account and view balance purchase information for the past ninety days. By having money in each child’s account prior to entering the cafeteria, the lunch lines will move along much faster, which gives your child more time to eat and be with friends. You can also view recent purchases, check balances, and set-up low balance alerts.
Cash and checks will continue to be accepted for deposit into your child’s record. Cash and checks can be sent in to your child’s school or sent to the Foodservice Department at District Office. Balances will continually roll over into a new school year.
