Sexual Harassment

The West Islip School District is committed to providing a work and learning environment that is free of discrimination, including sexual harassment. Sexual harassment may consist of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual advances (complete definition in board policy). Sexual harassment may be verbal, nonverbal or physical in nature. Sexual harassment makes the recipient uncomfortable and unable to do his or her work properly. Sexual harassment should always be reported. Please report such incidents to one of the following people: Classroom teacher, Nurse, or Principal.
