The machine shop at West Islip High School is the first of its kind on Long Island! We can take raw metal stock and turn it into manufactured parts with our saws, drills, manual lathes,  manual mills, 3D Printers, CO2 / Fiber laser, CNC Plasma table, CNC lathe and CNC mills.  Students learn the skills necessary to be prepared for future careers as engineers, CNC machine operators, fabricators and assemblers for the many careers ahead of them in Long Island's thriving manufacturing community!
