Weslaco East High School AVID
AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a school-wide transformation effort focused on leadership, systems, instruction, and culture, and is designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in higher education and in their lives beyond high school.

Hurricane Harvey Relief Effort: Brundrett Middle School, Port Aransas, TX
Weslaco East AVID students embarked on a mission to bring some relief to BMS in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. The AVID seniors set up a timeline to take action. All AVID students participated in raising a little more than $3,000 in order to purchase supplies and goods for the staff of BMS. Below are some highlights of our efforts.
