Tessie Garcia

My name is Tessie Garcia I was born and raised in Weslaco, Texas. I am seventeen years old and I am the youngest of three children. I went to Margo Elementary from pre-K to 5th grade, then I went to Cuellar Middle school from 6th grade to 8th grade. Now I am currently in 12th grade at Weslaco East High School. I am a member of the National Honor Society and I participate in two sports which are Cross Country and Track & Field. I have been on the varsity team in both sports all four years of high school.

On October 28th, 2019 I made school history by being the first state meet qualifier for girls Cross Country at Weslaco East.

I would describe myself to be very caring and thoughtful to others. I am very grateful that I have a supportive family because they are the reason I have had a lot of success in academics and sports.

My favorite hobbies besides running are shopping, baking, and going out. I am very enthusiastic and adventurous when I am out with friends or on vacation. One of my favorite places to go is to the beach-- I love going to see firework shows there.
