Kassandra Galnarez

Hello, my name is Kassandra Galnarez and I am a senior at Weslaco East High School and also a student for the Independent Studies class for the 2019-2020 school year.

A little about myself is that I am the daughter of Tomas and Julia Galnarez, and I was born in Houston, but that is a whole different story to talk about. As a student of Weslaco Independent School District for the past 11 years, I have accomplished many achievements that I am personally proud of. Some of them include being a member of the Wildcat Regiment in which I was the flute officer (2018-2019) and the field captain (2019-2020) and have participated in many events like TMEA State Solo and Ensemble and All-Region where I have received many different awards.

Besides band, I am the treasurer for the Interact Club, and a member of National Honor Society, the Computer Science Club, and the Greener Tomorrow Club. Besides being a member of various organizations, I have also been able to obtain a solid academic reputation, as I have been named numerous times an Honor Roll student, the October Rotary Student of the Month, Academic Student of the Week, and also received many awards for being an outstanding student in different classes.

Finally, I plan to attend Texas A&M University in College Station and major in Construction Science in the Fall of 2020, so GIG’EM Aggies!
