Jeffrey Soza

I am Jeffrey Soza. I am a senior at Weslaco East High School. I was born in McAllen, Texas on December 26, 2001. Nobody ever remembers my birthday because they are tired from the day before. Or maybe they just forget.

I am the oldest of three total siblings. I am not too fond of the name Jeffrey, and neither was my mom when I was born because she hated the name at first. It was my dad who convinced her to name me Jeffrey, after an old baseball player from the Astros named Jeff Bagwell. My dad is a die hard baseball fan.

I occupy time outside of school towards the WEHS Theatre Company. I joined when I was a junior and have had success as an actor. That year, I played the Scarecrow in the musical, “The Wizard of Oz”, and then this year I played a Russian stage actor named Constantine Stanislavsky in a comedy about the history of theatre, called “The Complete History of Theatre (Abridged)”. I enjoy it so much, and I wish I could have started earlier in high school, so I could have possibly pursued it in college.

As of now, my plans after graduation are to go to college and I hope to study film and film making. If that doesn’t work out, I will study medicine and pharmacology.
