Hi, my name is Alma Aguilar. I'm currently 18 and a senior at Weslaco East High School. I come from a family of four siblings, with me being the youngest and only girl. I have been attending Weslaco East High School since my freshman year and in my time here I have, and continue to hold, office positions in several organizations. I am the president of Health Occupations Students of America, the vice-president of the Interact Club and the Senior Class treasurer. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, the BPA Chapter 2 club, the Accounting UIL team and I run track.
Being a part of organizations that have a genuine passion for helping others in need pushed me to be a better person and contribute more of my time to help the community. Having leadership roles has taught me the responsibility, time and dedication one needs to make an effective change while guiding yourself and others as well.
I plan to attend the College of Business Administration Academics at Abilene Christian University and major in Accounting. What I plan to do with this degree is to help low income families that are being audited by the IRS.
