Adriana Gonzalez

Hello! My name is Adriana Gonzalez I am in Mrs. Ramos’s independent studies class during second period on A-days.

This is my senior year and I am graduating in the top 25% of my class. I plan to attend Texas State University, majoring in health sciences. I do plan to graduate as a nurse practitioner. I hope to graduate from Texas State without having to transfer out. Texas State is one of my dream schools because of their location and also for their 100% passing rate to become a nurse on the first try. Texas State is located in San Marcos, Tx.

I am a student athlete and I play three sports total. I played volleyball and I was a three-year letterman. I am training for the upcoming track and softball season. I am a two-year letterman for track and a four-year letterman for softball. Softball is my main sport and I’ve been playing since I was four.

Nursing interests me because not only because my mom is a nurse, but also because I find medicine so fascinating and the way the body heals when given certain medication. A nurse practitioner is an advanced nurse that at times can act like a doctor with or without being supervised by a doctor depending on where you work. I plan to specialize in pediatrics because of my love for kids and the fact that most kids love me. I graduate with the class of 2020 and then off to college we go.
