About the Class

This course was created for students who have already finished their English 1-4 requirements at the end of their junior year of high school.

Seniors in the class work in four areas to prepare for their next steps in education and life:

• College Admissions
• Financial Planning for College
• Independent Research Projects
• Advanced Reading, Writing, and Vocabulary

Another important aspect of the course is student voice. As we prepare for adult life, we need to be more aware and knowledgable about current events and the wide world in general. The goal for the projects completed in this course is to magnify our ideas, opinions, and voices out into the world rather than submitting reports for an audience of one teacher or presenting for one class.
