We can measure lots of different things in different ways! How long is it? How high is it? How much does it weigh? We measure when we cook! We measure lots of things — from what time it is, to how much something costs, to how tall we are or how much something weighs! Measuring also gives us a chance to learn important concepts like "more" and "less."
Check out these fun videos and start measuring!
Remember to use the same "unit" (a crayon, a paper clip, a penny), start at one end and don't overlap or use gaps! Then measure the same things with a DIFFERENT unit! Why do you think it changes the measurement?
How did Peg and Cat find the buried treasure?
Could we use your body as a measuring stick?
What should we measure first? Your bed? Your table?
