Devlin Cole takes on role with DHS and the CDC
Devlin Cole (PGY2) dove right into the Covid response this summer and quickly became involved in the collaborative testing effort between the University, DHS and the CDC. Read more about the project that she was involved with here.
Dr. Jasmine Zapata appointed to Health Care Equity Council
Jasmine Zapata (PMR ‘18), has been appointed by Gov. Tony Evers to the Health Care Equity Council. The aim of the council is to address health disparities based on race, economic status, education level, history of incarceration, and geographic location.

Dr. Jon Temte Participates in COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall
Preventive Medicine faculty member and Family Medicine physician, Dr. Jon Temte, participated in a virtual town hall hosted by the American Academy of Family Physicians to discuss the COVID-19 vaccine. This was part of a COVID-19 Virtual Town Hall series, "COVID-19 Vaccine: Science, Policy, and Preparation." Dr. Temte and others discussed the current state of the COVID-19 vaccine science, the process of vaccine development, including safety and approval, and what to consider in planning and preparing for potential vaccine distribution.
