You may not know that our Associate Program Director, Dr. Maggie Nolan, is not only a brilliant public health leader who has dedicated her career to smoking cessation, she is also an talented writer. She is an editor at the American Journal of Preventive Medicine and enjoys writing in her spare time. She was recently published in KevinMD about her experience surviving COVID in a dual physician household with three small children. She followed up her article with a podcast.

Faculty Update: Dr. Muhammad Shahzeb Munir
PMR faculty member, Dr. Muhammad Shahzeb Munir, has accepted a PI position at Thermofisher in Atlanta and will be leaving the University. Dr. Munir is a board certified Preventive Medicine physician who has been a member of our faculty since the inception of our program. He has lent his knowledge by presenting board prep material to our residents and been a great support to our program over the years. It was because of his regular contributions to our didactics that he was the 2018 recipient of our Distinguished Service Award. Join us in wishing him well on his new venture!
Alumni Update: Dr. Bobby Redwood
Bobby Redwood (PMR ’16) will be the new Chief Medical Officer at Livingston HealthCare in Livingston, Montana starting in July. Livingston HealthCare is a 25 bed critical access hospital located right at the gates of Yellowstone National Park. He is leaving his current position as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA because his wife, Susi, received a tenure track professor position for political science in Bozeman, MT. They are also expecting their third child (another girl) on September 16th! Congratulations, Bobby!
