The conditional is especially used following "if..." statements and when expressing a counterfactual. It is also used as "would" or "could" is in English.
The conditional is fairly easy to construct, in that it is standardized for verbs of all endings.
Simply use the past-tense subject prefix for the subject marker, add in -andi- and then finish the word with the modified stem.
Past tense subject prefix + andi + modified verb stem
So, for example:
Nkola (I do) ---> Nnandikoze (I would do)
Oyagala (you like) ---> Wandiyagadde (you would like)
Alya (she eats) ---> Yandilidde (she would eat)
Tutuuka (we arrive) ---> Twandituuse (we would arrive)
Mutambala (you [plural] walk) ---> Mwanditambudde (you would walk)
Bawa (they give) ---> Bandiwadde (they would give)
