Session dates

The on-campus summer lab session dates for 2019 are:

Madison I: May 20 - June 21, 2019 (one week after Final Exams end)

Madison II: July 8 - August 9, 2019 (same end date as UW 8-week summer session)

Online registration is now closed; contact Prof. Root or Dr. Greenberg if you wish to be added to a class list.

The deadline for full priority consideration will be January 25, 2019, during the first week of Spring classes. First session is usually oversubscribed; spaces usually remain in the second session for all late sign-ups.

Overseas Sections (Information session held in mid-November):

Oviedo, Spain: May 27 - June 28, 2019

Hangzhou, China: June 10 - July 19 (including optional post-course trip)

Hong Kong: June 10 - July 12

Applications for the Overseas Sessions were submitted through this application link, which is now closed.

Admissions offers were distributed in early December.

A waiting list is being maintained in case additional openings occur.

The Department collects session preferences and determines class section assignments during December (for Overseas sections) and January (for Madison sections), so students will have their sessions set well in advance to be known for employment interviews and possible job start dates, or planning other summer activities.

Official UW summer enrollment (for all Madison courses) will begin in early April, with enrollment release dates distributed by the Registrar by mid-March.

Official enrollment for the Overseas sections is through the department, not the Registrar.
