Aquatic Invasive Species Outreach Specialist
Scott inspires and empowers communities to protect Southeast WI waters through hands-on engagement. He leads local efforts to monitor lake water quality and aquatic invasive species (AIS) throughout Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha Counties. He offers trainings, workshops and presentations to groups and community members interested in learning more about how to prevent and slow the spread of AIS.
Scott brings over a decade of experience in invasive species work, community engagement, and data collection. Prior to joining Wisconsin Sea Grant, he served as a Regional Planner for northern Utah, working with communities to plan for natural hazards, alternative transportation, and housing. He's also held various land and water conservation roles in Wisconsin and Utah. Scott has a masters in Bioregional Planning for Utah State University and a B.A. in Geography from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He joined Wisconsin Sea Grant in 2021.
