Jiaming Xu (许嘉铭)
Jiaming Xu (许嘉铭)
I'm currently a visiting assistant professor at Ohio State University. Before coming to Columbus, I spent a year as a postdoc at KTH and Institut Mittag-Leffler, mentored by Gaultier Lambert. I did my PhD in math department of University of Wisconsin-Madison. My advisors were Vadim Gorin and Benedek Valko.
My CV.
I'm broadly interested in probability theory, and its connections to combinatorics and representation theory. My current focus lies in integrable probability and random matrices.
Remark: Jiaming is a quite popular name in China...There is another probabilist with the same (spelling of) name as me.

Others
I love choral music. Below is my annual piece of 2023:
Presented by Echo Chamber Choir from Shanghai, during a time period when the city was recovering from the pandemic.
And an astoundingly beautiful piece I heard in 2024:
A lovely Swedish traditional song for my 2025:
I denna ljuva sommartid" (In this sweet summertime)
