Can I partner/Co-teach with another faculty for a CBL group?
CBL facilitation for CPC is typically done in a group with each faculty member being split into a breakout room for the session. However, you can request to be paired with another faculty member if needed by using the comment box in the SignUp Genius form. Co-teaching may interest more junior facilitators.
Will there be an informational session or faculty materials before block begins?
Information on precepting CPC CBLs is sent in the week preceding the CBL, including student roster, case guides, and any information sessions available. All information is organized and sent by Medical Education Office (MEO) Coordinator Corie Leifker (cleifker@wisc.edu).
Where is the room I will be teaching in located?
CPC CBL facilitation is normally held online via Zoom.
How many students will I work with?
In Week 3, you can expect to work with a group of 8-12 students on a traditional Case-Based Learning Activity. In Week 9, you can expect to work with multiple groups of 2-3 students rotating through Standardized Patient cases.
I signed up but am no longer available or sick, who should I contact/how do I cancel?
Please contact Joe Orman (jorman@medicine.wisc.edu) and Corie Leifker (cleifker@wisc.edu) as soon as possible. They will work with you and the department to find a substitute.

I might need to leave early, is that ok, what arrangements need to occur?
We encourage all facilitators to stay the full length of their teaching session. However, if you need to leave early, you should reach out to Joe Orman (jorman@medicine.wisc.edu) as far in advance as possible so that a substitute for either the full or part of the session can be recruited.
No, no grading or assessment will occur.
Who should I contact with any further questions?
Please reach out to Joe Orman, Healthcare Education Coordinator for the Medicine CPC (jorman@medicine.wisc.edu) with any questions.
