Affiliation applications for returning Registered Student Organizations are NOW OPEN!
Freeze Date is October 10th, 2025
If not registered with SOLI (formerly known as CfLI), your RSO will become frozen and not receive benefits
NEW THIS YEAR: Applications for affiliation with CS in the 2025-2026 academic year will close
CDIS Registered Student Org Kick Off is scheduled for September 2nd, 2025
Affiliated RSOs MUST have at least two leaders present to request funding
Computer Sciences, Data Science, Information Science, and Statistics Departments will host break out sessions after the kick off for departmental specifics
SAVE THE DATE! We are planning to host a large CDIS Student Org Fair in the new building on the afternoon of Friday, September 19th!

Forms & RSVPs
AI Club, UW-Madison - Committed to bringing together students of all backgrounds with an interest in AI. Students can join or lead projects or study groups that help advance their skills in the field of AI.
Badger Drone Club - Focuses on educating individuals on drone technology and allowing creativity to come up with uses for flying unmanned aerial vehicles that we can use in our everyday lives.
BioKind Analytics - Brings together undergraduate data scientists to support healthcare non-profits further their missions, improve their efficiency and increase their social impact.
Cardinal Trading Group - Primarily affiliated with the Wisconsin School of Business. This club has an application process and is capped at 35 members each year. This club is not limited by major/school, but students needs a passion for trading algorithms.
CodeForGood - Developing and enhancing technological capabilities of community organizations through services such as creating functional websites and offering general tech support free of charge.
ColorStack - Primarily affiliated with the Multicultural Student Center and part of a national organization. This chapter's mission is to increase attraction, retention, and success of Black, Latinx, and Native American computer science majors. They want to engage peer-to-peer connections so you can meet students that major in computing fields including computer science, data science, etc.
CyberSecurity Club, or CSEC - Allows members to learn and explore cybersecurity in a collaborative environment from security research to lessons on online privacy and safety.
Data Science Club, or dotData - Where students interested in data science can develop professional and academic skills.
Girls Who Code - Creates a welcoming community for women and non-binary individuals in tech.
Google Developer Student Club - Focused on growing students' knowledge on developer products and platforms through hands-on workshops and events.
Korean Undergraduate Computer Science Union (KCU) - Dedicated to serving the academic and professional development needs of computer, data science, and other STEM majors at UW-Madison while building a collaborative environment where students can grow their skills in diverse fields.
Likelion Wisconsin - A student run tech entrepreneurship community that helps students solve real-worls problems and develop their ideas into competitive products using programming.
Madison Coders - Brings together students in computer science-related fields to collaborate on programming projects that deepen their understanding of Computer Science while also enhancing their professional skills by building their resumes.
MadHacks - Promotes and executes hackathon events that connect creators, mentors, sponsors, and hackers of all backgrounds and skill levels into a cooperative UW-Madison hackathon community.
NeuroTech UW - Promotes discussions around mental health and the incorporation of modern technologies in the practice of neuroscience and cognitive psychology.
Queer CDIS Syndicate, or IRIS - Dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ students within the School of Computer, Data, and Information Sciences at UW-Madison.
Student Association for Computing Machinery, or SACM - A chapter of a national organization dedicated to graduate students. SACM has been at UW for many years and aids in fostering community among graduate students. It also helps to facilitate the Research Symposium which allows students to share the the CS-related research actively happening within the Department of Computer Sciences at UW-Madison.
Software Development Club - Aims to help students majoring in Computer Sciences to develop their software engineering skills and assist them in finding jobs or internships through projects, workshops, and seminars.
UX Club - Creates a vibrant community for students interested in User Experience (UX) to learn, collaborate, and connect with industry UX professionals.
Women's Association for Computing Machinery, or WACM - A chapter of a national organization dedicated to womxn-identifying students in computer science fields. WACM has been at UW for years and helps connect graduate and undergraduate womxn in computer sciences.

Wisconsin Artificial Intelligence Safety Initiative, or WAISI - Aims to mitigate the risks that increasingly capable AI brings to the world. They first develop a holistic understanding of the risks and then build the skills to solve them with technical safety research and policy frameworks
WebLabs - Provides opportunities for students to learn and develop websites for nonprofit organizations. They welcome students of all skill levels and encourage collaboration in a supportive learning environment.
Wisconsin Neuromorphic Computing - Dedicated to educating members about neuromorphic computing and enable students to build relevant projects.
