ABOUT ME

Bonjour! My name is Dasha Betts. I will be teaching French at WHS and French/Spanish at WMS this year. I am originally from Voronezh, Russia. I graduated Voronezh State University with a BA in Linguistics and a minor in FSL and ESL Teaching in 2005. I moved to US a year later as an exchange student of ETEP program at the USM. In 2008, I completed my Master's of Science in Education and got certified as a K-12 French teacher in the state of Maine. Prior to Winthrop schools I have been teaching French and Visual Arts at the French School of Maine (Ecole Française du Maine - EFDM), an immersion K-6 school in South Freeport. I am excited for the chance to share with you my passion for foreign languages and cultures!
