Contact your Health Insurance Provider - On the back of your health insurance card is typically a phone number that you can call for mental health and behavioral health services. This is the best first step to identifying a list of providers who are covered by your insurance plan and who have open availability to take on new clients. If this number does not exist, call your health insurance's main phone number and ask to speak to a representative who can assist in identifying a mental health and behavioral health provider. Ask your insurance provider for a list of outpatient therapists who specialize in child and adolescent therapy that are covered by your plan/in your network!
